What parts are included with the engines?
Each engine is different, some engines come with the transmission and ECU (computer), as well as the axles, engine mounts and half shaft. Some engines will only come with the engine alone and some will only have the engine and transmission. You can view each engine description for a list of parts included. Each engine does come with the following parts: starter, distributor, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, alternator, sensors, throttle body, fuel rail, complete cylinder block and cylinder head.

What parts are not included with the engines?
Any part that would be on the engine bay, and not the engine itself will not be included. We do not include parts like fuel pump, or radiator. This is parts of the engine bay and is not part of the engine. The engine wiring harness are always included, they may be cut or complete but they will always be on the engine. For most engines you cannot use the japanese wiring and you must use your existing wiring. Please view our product descriptions for the complete list of parts included.

Do I need to change any part on the engine? Such as pulleys, belts, gaskets?
For Head Gaskets, they do not need to be changed unless the engine is leaking oil. For Timing belts it is always recommended on older engines. For Drive Belts it is recommend you change them since they may have hardended from not having ran in several months.

Do Turbocharged engines come with the Turbo?
Yes, all our turbocharged engines come with the stock OEM turbo. The engines were taken out of the cars and no parts were taken off the engine. So the engines come complete with all accessories and turbo.

Why do JDM engines have lower mileage?
Japanese people rely mostly on public transportation, therefore the cars are driven less. They also have bi-annuel car inspection, or Sha-ken as it is called in Japan, and determines whether it is cost effective for a person to keep his/her vehicle. Engines are also taken out of cars that have been accidented in the back or the side.

How do I order an engine/product?

First (first day): You submit your order and we process your payment.

How will I take the engine off the truck?
You can request tailgate service for an extra $75.00 (USD). You can also use a engine hoist(cherry picker), back of a pick up truck or if you have two or three friends with you, it will be easy to unload with 3-4 people.

What kind of warranty is included with each engine?
It depends on what type of engine you purchase. If it is a used performance engine the warranty is for 30 days, used replacement engines is 180 days and new remanufactured engines it is 1 year unlimited mileage. This warranty covers the engine block and head ONLY. The warranty covers all internal engine parts and does not cover transmission or other parts that are not a part of the engine block or the head. Engine block, cylinder barrels and cylinder head are warrantied to be free of cracks or distortion. In the event of a defective engine block or head, JapanRacingEngines.com will replace or fix the defective part, at our discretion. You can view our Warranty page for further details?
